Teacher-based Evaluation of Students’ Problem Solving Skills

چکیده

The need for improving and evaluating students’ cognitive skills, including problem-solving, has been highlighted in both the mathematics education literature curricula worldwide. objective of this study was to assess problem-solving skills lower secondary school students using a teacher-based evaluation method, taking into account their grade level, gender, grade-point averages, grades. To that end, Problem-solving Skill Scale administered 39 teachers from 21 schools, total 1010 sixth, seventh, eighth students. Based on findings, it can be inferred possess an adequate level skills; however, proficiency differed significantly according levels, This identification students' is expected guide them towards activities resources align with individual abilities.
